Check out my hat! I LOVE IT!! I was so inspired by seeing everyones hats here I decided to try it myself. I made it out of Patons SWS which is this really soft wool and soy blend. I'm going to make another one out of some army green yarn I ordered on sale from Joann's and I'm going to increase the ribbing at the bottom and leave out the cables for a different look. I put stiff interfacing in the brim, you're supposed to use plastic mesh but I happened to have some really stiff interfacing so I improvised. Anyway it was really fun to knit and I love to wear it! Can't wait for it to get cold!

Hi again - thanks! I used the Natural Earth color. I started a new one last night with the solid Natural Moss.

That yarn is beautiful!  I love the color you chose!

That's it...I guess I'm going to have to make me one of these too.  I've been looking at it for the past week, but I've been trying to focus on Christmas gifts since I have so many to make.  Oh well, I might have to let my knitting ADD get the better of me.

This knits up really fast, you could do it sort of as a "rest" from your Xmas gifts and not get too off course!! You can knit it in an evening, really! You don't want to start to resent your Xmas knitting now do you? You deserve a break!  Wink

I'm just getting back into this, but if any pictures are missing, let me know. Photobucket hates me.
