Those are way too cute! What kind of cake did you use? And what kind of icing?

I just used regular cake mix from the box and fondant.
Black food coloring for the black. 
I used a regular cupcake for the body and a mini cupcake for the head.  Then I just covered it with a little frosting and then the layer of fondant.
I think I have pictures of the play-by-play if anyone's interested.
