RESIN! Lots of sprinkles, IMG OBESE

It was close to impossible to keep my self from eating all these yummy sprinkles. I cast these all yesterday, took them out of the molds this morning, and cut off the extra resin from the edges and put in the little eye screws at school. Comments/Criticism welcome!

This one is my favorite, although I have no clue what to do with it. Its super shiny in person. The mold is the packaging from rhinestones.


I hand mixed the pink/lavender/white sprinkles my self in a bulk candy shop. yum!


I'm not sure exactly what this means by "AND" but it was one of the only hearts in the bag that wasn't destroyed and still had the writing on it.


I love bubbles in resin! It adds more dimension and sparklyness, (except when you can't get it out of resin that you don't want to have bubbles lol)

Do you have any trouble w/the sprinkles floating in the resin?  Or do you layer them in the resin? 

I would imagine them floating around (which would be kinda cool IMO)

Actually, I mix them in and then the settle at the bottom. Its all one layer.

The mold for the teardrop shape I got in the glue isle of Michaels, near all the resin stuff. It was in a set with a bunch of other shapes. here is a picture of it:

Oh my gosh, these are so unbelievably cute!  I think everyone I know would just die over these.  They're awesome!  And funny enough, they don't make me crave ice cream, but rather those dots that come stuck on paper...

love them! ive bein doin stuff with resins and sprinkles too. when you put the eye pins in do you drill a smaller hole then twist them in?? they look great!

Drilling a smaller hole and then twisting them in would probably work better than my method, but I can't find a bit small enough to make that little of a hole. I actually take the resin out of the molds a little early, about 20-24 hours after pouring, and they're soft enough to just twist in. I do have to push pretty hard to get them started though.

I have no clue really. I used them all up and threw away the packaging =[ They were the smallest I could find at JoAnn Fabrics. I would suggest checking there if one is in your town.

Mandasbrighteyes have you checked out your local hardware store.  somethings when you can not it in craft stores, your hardware is a good back up source. You can even possible use the very small cup hooks and just close them all the way with jewelry pilers, the ones that the round rings.
