oh, woah, I was out for the weekend (houray for the great american road trip!) and I think I'm caught up. Or I'm totally fired from watching the road for wayyyyy to long. Check the main page, and lemme know if I goofed.

BTW, Me and nicolassa have not sent because we are meeting up FOR THE REAL!!! on monday. Just so you don't think yer organizer is a slacker.

Everyone's batts are sooooo gorgeous!!! They're making my mouth water!  Cheesy

I thought for sure I'd get my package from ivycircle today, but alas, I have to wait until Monday now.  Luckily for the postman, I did receive a giant box of fiber so my appetite has been whet temporarily.

BUT, I can't wait to receive!

LUBEE - your batts look like they almost jumped out of your avatar.

I didn't get my package from feralfeminine yet, but if it's even close to as awesome as the one LUBEE got I'll be super excited!

Check out all the fiber that kitschkween sent me!

There is a biiig bag of the white roving, plus blue and brown wool rovings (and I just ran out of all my brown roving last week!), some interesting green roving, and some soy silk!  The protein fibers can be incorporated into the felt (I dont spin, I felt) and give a wispy contrast to the wool - I like to use them as accents. I've never tried soy silk before, I am keen to find out how it behaves in the felt!

Here is a closeup of the green roving, it has a bit of a hairy feel, which is fun to felt with because it tends to poke all the way through the felt and and give the surface a neat texture.

Thanks kitschkween!
