I am loving how darn easy these are to make! You will see the first two tries with the NY shirts i sorta messed up, then I realized the cotton fabric needs to be cut into a triangle not straight down. And I made like 7 of them in a few hours! On with the show, tute at the bottom!

Okay heres how to make one. I use pillowcases, but the strawberry one was reg fabric. either way you cut into a sorta triangle like this:

at the top it should be about 2 inches bigger than you cut the stretch fabric
sew the side seams

For the top you can use any knit or tshirt and cut a long tube like this:

It is roughly 13-14 inches wide and 14 high, so when folded it is about 7 inch high. It depends how stretchy your material is for the width, and the height can also be shorter or longer depending on the look you want.

Fold it in half(down into itself)

Then place the tube over the skirt (I use a serger, I dont know how well this will work on a standard machine) sew with the knit on top  and the cotton will be facing right side up and on the presser foot. Stretch the knit as you sew. THis takes practice to get it the same circumfrance. (i did some seam ripping!) I hope this made sense!

I really like the screen behind the dresses. And I really, really, really, like the cartoon one with the white belt. Great job taking picture too!

These are so fun.  I seem to be getting a collection of pillowcases and sheets with the cartoon type characters.  I definitely will be trying your tutorial.  Thanks for sharing it.  my favorite is the mario brothers one and the strawberry shortcake one your modeling.  Fantastic!!!

P.S. I have those same slippers on right now as I'm typing!

The Peanuts and Nintendo dresses are my favorite!  You are so lucky to get such awesome fabrics---nice!

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.
