What you have here are two linen skirts made delightful with some little additions. Everything came from the thrift store for $1.

On the first skirt, the bottom was the bottom edge of a sweater with an awesome knit pattern. I used the arms to make arm warmers. Both of these items were in my possession for months before I realized how great they looked together. Reminds me of some sort of raspberry and tangerine gelato combination!

For the second skirt, I made a strip of patchwork from my scrap bag and added it to the top by appliqu, which amazingly did not screw up the bias at all!

I love what you did with the second one. you've inspired me to do something similar but with a miniskirt.... -adds to neverending craft list-

These are both so pretty. I love the colors of the first, and the patchwork in the second is so unexpected and lovely.

I absolutely love the patchwork one!  I never would of thought of it, but it adds a very nice touch.  Smiley

I'm really into my reconstructing and upgrading old clothes at the moment, and these are the sort of things that I love!

I think the different textures of linen and the wool look awesome together in the first one. Its beautiful.
