I have browsed this board, but have seen that there were not many responses/ suggestions for yarn/craft stores in Cleveland.  Is this still the case (as some of the threads are a year or more old), or is Cleveland still in need of a good yarn/craft store? Can anyone recommend any new/ good ones?

The only I can really think of are the big chain stores: Michael's, Pat Catan's and Jo-Ann Fabrics Etc.  We could do with a cool store, that's for sure!  Cheesy

I don't know how far west you are, but there is a great little place in Avon called Birds of a Feather, it's set up in an old barn and the offer a lot of really cool classes.  The downstairs is all quilting and the upstairs is all yarn.  If you are ever out this way check it out.

I found a yarn store called Soft 'n' Sassy in Broadview Heights, it's near the corner of Broadview Rd and Wallings. They have a huge selection of lighter weight yarns and variagated yarns, and they have the most beautiful selection of heavier weight ones too. It seems like they sell very high quality yarns. And they have a membership club where you get 10% off all your purchases. I buy all my yarn there now.

For fabric, I usually go to Jo-Ann's but I found a pricey little quilting store called the Polka Dot Pincushion in Richfield that I looove. A little expensive to go crazy there but they have a great selection. They even have some of Amy Butler's discontinued fabrics! Well they will until I buy them all....

And for scrapbooking/stamping/paper crafts I love Archiver's. This might be a national chain, I'm not sure. I know they have multiple Cleveland area stores. I go to the one in Fairlawn and I think there's one at Great Northern too. Also a little pricey but great products.

Hope this helps anyone looking for recommendations! I'd love to hear some more too.
