Ok, after lots of fideling about, these are a couple of my lastest resin pendants....I'm really into the japanese embossed paper....

all feedback appreciated......am not sure about the gold bits on the Ace card......blingin or trashy? can't decide  Smiley

the black background seems to work really well with the red glitter. i love my new resin dyes!

this is just a peice of embossed foil, but i think it looks nice....might be better with a more leafy green background?

They're so pretty!  I know I'd love them, and the black and silver one is very elegant.

I love your pendants...ACE is definitely blinging and not trashy!  I have always wanted to try using resin.  Have any suggestions or tips for new resin crafters?

very nice!

as for the leaf one, I think it looks really nice as is.  I think a patterned background would make it too busy looking.

Read the string on 'resin'.  It takes alittle time but, is well worth it.  The only other thing is as I said a day or so ago, heat takes the bubbles out.  Immediately after pouring into the mold, place mold under a heat lamp or use a heat gun.  That's the only thing I did not learn on the string.

BEAUTIFUL PENDANTS.  The silver leaf is my favorite.  Do nothing to the background - the simplicity is the elegance.

How can an Ace be tacky? Grin  Trendy, maybe, not tacky.

I agree with everyone else, the leaf one is beautiful and doesnt need a different background at all. I'd definetly wear it as-is.
I love the bottom one too, beautiful colors for spring.

patience, and persisitence.
I've only been using resin for a couple of months but feel i've learned alot about it in that time - mainly through trial and error.
It's really important to get a your work space right. You need it to be the right tempreture, with really good ventilation, and where you can leave it for a day or so and come back to it without it being disturbed.
But the main thing is....resin is sooooo fun! Just have a go. I'm now totally obsessed by it and want to put everthing in resin.
Yeah, so basically, just have a try...you'll love it! If you have any questions I can answer will be more than happy to. Also, there was a great thread on here a while back with loads of info on resin....i think it may be on one of ammamamma's posts?
happy resinating!
