So I've decided to stop lurking and to post some things here. So... say hello to my first items on Crafster!

So this is the Swamp Monster Hat. I was commissioned to make it after a woman saw my boyfriend wearing the Zombie Hat I made him for Valentine's Day (see below) It's a relatively simply earflap hat that I modified so that it would fit the commissionee's rather impressively sized head (25" in circumferance!).

Notice the fine craftsmanship? Yeah, not really. Just a lot of felt, handsewing, and permanent markers. Still fun, though. The kid's cute, I gotta admit.

Those are my sketches for the Zombie Hat below (the first of the monster hats) It actually turned out remarkably similar to the drawing considering how I was winging it.

...aw. Boyfriend. <3 Please excuse the picture quality, he took these with his Mac's webcam. Notice the viciousness of the zombie? Yeah. He wanted that like you wouldn't believe. That pink bit there? Those are exposed brains. Yes. Brains.

Aaand a front view. You can't really see it, but there's a icord worm sticking out of a wound on the side opposite the brain.

Hope you enjoyed my gruesome little hats!

*wonders if she could get her Hubby to wear a hat if it had fangs*

Hahaha, awesome.

If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
For diamonds do appear to be
Just like broken glass to me.

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

It's a nice, easy, fast knit but all the decoration takes a bit of time.
