Just curious if anyone here makes vinyl lookalike dolls.  Doesn't matter if the body is fabric.  My daughter's birthday is in october, and I would love to get one for her.  I just don't want it to cost $200-400 like the ones I'm finding online.  I'll even make the clothes if someone else can make the doll?

Alright, well if no one knows someone that makes these dolls, does anyone know a good website I could go to in order to buy the parts to make my own for her?

I've never used them before, but maybe you'll find something there.

does it have to be a vinyl doll? it'd be easy to make a material or knitted doll. my mum knitted a doll of me when i was 18 and gothic, i loved it and still have it.

I think you are talking about reborn dolls...they cost alot of money because they take alot of time, and are a little expensive to make (I made them for 2 years, but now have 3 babies and not enough time lol). If you want to have a go at making one yourself, I have used this supplier in the USA before, very reliable-

And a free online tutorial -

Here is a doll forum where there are lots of reborn artists, very helpful group -

Hope to have helped Wink
