Great hat!  I love tams and I've been looking for that *perfect* one for ages!  I think I just found it!  Smiley

LOVE this hat!!! I have knit a few tam-like hats before, but never one with 2 colors. I'm trying to learn how to do that, and I was wondering if you used fair-isle/stranding, or intarsia?? Cheesy Thanks so much!

neither! it's a mosaic-type stitch. you only knit with one color each row, and you use slipped stitches to create the pattern.

Thanks! It made sense once I started knitting it. All done!

I just found this hat recently on Ravelry and I'm so glad I did! I love it! It's really cozy and deceptively easy. Thanks so much for posting it.

What size skein did you use? I'm going to go buy yarn and I want to make sure that I don't get too little. Thanks!!

I love this pattern, it looks so simple.  So, if I choose not to use two different colors I can skip round 3-10 and just all those rows until I am happy with the length, right?
