Your pattern writing skills are great so please don't be offended but I'm just not good with patterns. I need Barney level instructions so I wanna attempt to break this down. Can anyone tell me if I'm right?

Cast on 20 onto each DPN with main color
K1 P1 for an 1.5 of ribbing

RND 1:  *KF&B 3 times, K1 <~ that's confusing the crap outta me

140 sts on needles

Knit 1 round

RND 3 & 4: With CC: K3, Sl1 purlwise (you're slipping a red stitch) to end of round

RND 5 & 6: With MC, knit from beg. to end

RND 7 & 8: With CC, k1, sl1 purlwise *k3, sl1 purlwise (rep to end of round)

RND 9 & 10: With MC, knit from beg. to end

^^ Those confuse me too! PLEASE HELP!

Okay, so I've already started on one of these and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how easy it is- and so darn cute!  I still have to bind off, but am probably going to knit 10 more in different colors, it's a great way to kill my stash of Sugar'n Cream!  I'll be sure to post when my loose ends are all woven and it looks neat and tidy! Thanks for the pattern!

I would love to make this using black as my MC and using yellow, red and green has my CC (3 strands together) to give it a Jamaican flag feel.

I'm confused on that one part though  Undecided

I totally wanted to make a Jamaican hat out of this, too!  I think the slouchiness works perfectly with a Rasta vibe!

For all my knitters on the fence on this one:  Don't get discouraged, it's actually super easy- KFB, knit into the front AND the back (thus making 2 stitches out of 1), do this 3 times and then knit one stitch regular- so it'd be KFB, KFB, KFB, K!  (<--That is me talking to myself- I find saying it out loud while I'm doing it makes it easier to understand.)  Just do that the whole row and you will end up with 140 stitches, instead of the original 80.  You must persevere!!!  It's all cake after that and a pretty quick knit.  I have major knitting A.D.D. and still managed to churn one out in a weekend.  Good luck!

Love the hat and the colors you used...Have 1 question...which rounds are the right side, or is it the same inside and out?
