I made this as part of the Tim Burton Swap. I've been too excited to wait to post pictures so here they are. My partner's package was delivered, she just needs to pick it up. I learned to crochet just to do amigurumi and now I LOVE it!

Here she is. All her clothes come off too, so she can wear different outfits.

Here's the front view...

and the back

I'm really happy with the way she turned out.

Her hair took FOREVER and a day. I cut yarn into lengths of about 6-8 inches and threaded them through with a yarn needle and tied each one in a knot. I used five different yarn types and unraveled a few here and there to make her hair look fuller. She is bald under those pigtails though.

groovy thanks.  I know what you mean about forever a 50 year to do hair.  I made an alice in wonderland doll and it took me 6 hours to do her hair.    I did my hair with a pretty much the same way.

This is too cute!  You really captured the essence of Mrs. Lovett (which is funny, because I was thinking about the movie today and had the song "Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pies" in my head..oh, and we were eating meat pies for lunch).

Oh my gosh!!  This is the BEST!!!!!!!!  Sweeney Todd is pretty much my favorite movie, and Mrs. Lovett is my favorite character!  You captured her essence perfectly - I LOVE it!!!

Can I claim you as a swap partner if there's a Tim Burton swap round 4?   Wink

I didn't use a pattern for her clothes or her head, I did use a pattern for her body(which you can't see). I wanted her head really big so I winged it and used the pattern for the "bunny in a dress" in the book Super Crochet Wonderful for her body and alternated colors on her arms to make it look like she had on arm warmers. Smiley

And thanks everyone for all the good feedback. Smiley

Great job! As soon as I saw the pic at the top of the Hot New Topics page I recognized the character...then had to spend several minutes trying to remember what she was from. (I was on a lot of cold medicine the day I saw that movie) She looks wonderful though. Love that hair, it was definately worth the time you took on it.

Great job. Smiley
