This is where I read how it works:
http://www.davidanaxagoras.com/2005/04/16/track-your-progress-or-lack-thereof/

I'm figuring out CSS slowly but surely, so I customized mine to suit my blog.  And you have to know a little about your template, CSS and HTML to make them work as he posted them.

She uses an image on hers.  That's cool.  The one I wound up using just uses a filled-in rectangle created with CSS, so you don't have to fiddle with an imaging program.  This is good for those who don't want to fiddle with an imaging program.  Now that I'm reading her examples, I might have to fiddle with MY imaging program.  Cheesy

It's really easy to define, really, and if I hadn't been feeling so lazy, I probably could have figured the CSS out on my own.  This is really one of those things I should be learning.  The places where the width and height are defined are easy to find, so you can make them whatever size you want, and whatever color border you want, etc.  It's just downright nice.

But in any case, now everyone has two great resources AND a couple people who understand them.  Cheesy

yeah I looked at the css one and it's not that bad.  I think it would be a better solution than constantly changing your image.  Of course once you set your images up the first time, it could be just as simple.

I still havent decided if I want to put those up on my blog, I think I would feel too guilty.  It's bad enough just listing stuff that kinda just stays there for the world to see (omg, she's not done yet?!)

lol, did you read what I said about it?

"Oooh, progress bars...

...now there's incentive! I've added a nifty progress bar in the sidebar, as you can see. It's sweet. Now, whenever I want to despair at my complete lack of knitty-ness, I can just look at my sweet, sweet progress bars. And so can you! And you can think, "Hah! I finished that last month!" and you can feel proud, or smug, whichever you prefer."
