I just started mine a coupla days ago, nothign spectacular.  I keep seeing people's blogs that have progess charts of their WIP and I can't figure out  how to make my own.  Anyone have any tips?

I am definitely spending a lot of time reading people's blogs, so much fun to see what everyone is working on.  Anyone wanna stop by mine and give me pointers? Cheesy

Thanks to everyone who shared their blog, I have a lot of reading to do!

If you people didn't write so many cool blogs I'd get a lot more knitting done.

Hehe you're so right! I get sidetracked seeing what everyone else is doing and forget to do what I'm doing...

Here's my blog: http://cognitofiesta.blogspot.com/

I don't have many posts yet, but I'm updating it most days so there should be more soon!

Hi, everyone!

I'm at http://merp.wordpress.com/.  It's knitting and puppy mostly, plus some cats and some food and some other stuff.

I have a question for all you prolific bloggers, actually.  And I apologize if this seems off-topic, but I think it's pretty closely related.  And I've just never figured it out.

What is the best etiquette for answering comments?  Is it better to answer comments in your own comment field (i.e., on the blog itself) or to individually answer each commenter by email?  Is it incredibly rude not to answer at all (which I'm frequently guilty of, mostly because I forget)

Of course people who get dozens of comments for every post can't possibly reply to each person - but I'm not one of those people.  On the other hand, the "great job, looks nice" type comment - well I greatly appreciate those comments, but all I'd say in return is "thanks"!

Would love to hear your opinions!  Thanks!

Aunt Suzi> I usually pop back to the other blog, and make a comment on the current posting...... and add a response in there.
Usually I also note thanks for a comment in the next entry of my blog itself. (They have been reading your blog already, responding that way makes sense, especially if you have an explanation.)
This is my personal opinion of course, the way I feel that I will connect back with the author of the comment.

Great topic!! I don't really have a knitting blog, although I post some of my knit stuff, along with other topics I write about. Whatever is going on at the moment in my life. I won't post the link here right now as I have lots more to add and update at the moment. It's a fairly new project I've been working on.

Anyway, one of my little obsessions is reading other knitting blogs and getting inspiration, so.... yay for this topic!!  Cheesy
