I made this sling in Jan/Feb for my cousins SIL to match the diaper bag set I had made http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=222644.msg2403117#msg2403117 From what I have heard she loved the whole set! Unfortunately I don't have any action shots just the finished product!!

This is the shoulder of the sling! I think the sling is just under 2.5 metres long!

A close-up of the fabric! Its actually drapery material with a bit of a satiny feel to it but not thin!

I changed the shoulder a bit from the previous ones that I have made http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=217752.msg2342703#msg2342703 I sewed down the pleats and did some different folding to make the design somewhat my own!

I hope you like! Thanks for looking! Comments?!?!

Thank you! I have to thank the brand new sewing machine for this one! It was much easier to sew with! And I tested before it left me and its a way more comfy shoulder, less bulky! Thanks again!

I really like that fabric for a sling. Your pleats & stitching look very tidy. I have made 4 ring slings now and it's tough to sew through all those layers and keep everything straight.

Have you tried the nylon rings instead og the metal? One friend I made 2 slings with nylon rings for said she likes them better than her slings with metal rings because they don't make noise or get cold like the metal ones.

Thank you! I have never tried the nylon ones yet, I got a sampler set of the aluminum ones but didn't have the right colour for this sling. My first on that I made I used the steel ones and had no problems but it was also the summer, I'm sure they would have been too cold in the winter though! I wanted to order the nylon ones but my boyfriend still insists they aren't safe!  Roll Eyes Thanks for looking and happy sling making!

Ooo I like that a lot.  One of my friends is having a baby girl in a couple months and her baby shower is at the end of the month.  I was wondering if you used a tutorial or a certain pattern for the baby sling.  It turned out beautifully, I hope mine turns out half as well!
