:D I crochet and then felt bags..mostly the "sling" type, u know where the strap crosses ur chest over 1 shoulder, kinda big bags But will make any size

Thanks for the nice comments about the measuring tape bags.  The amount of patience they require has gone down a little since I found the perfect glue.  I hope I get partnered with someone who would like one, because I've got a bunch of measuring tapes and I'm trying to use my supplies on hand.  I can't wait to see what my partner makes for me!  I was never a bag & purse person before Craftster, but now I'm out of control.

I found the CUTEST green leafy pattern skirts on clearance at Target last night...4.98 each!!!  I got one in a size that MAY fit me...I may have to recon...and I got 2 others NOT in my size that I can use for fabric.  I had $20 in gift cards....so...they were all FREE!!  The fabric is almost a canvas-y material, not your standard cotton fabric, so they would make the BEST recon's into bags.  Who likes green leafy stuff?  If not, I will just make a new bag for me for the summer.  They almost look a bit retro to me...has anyone seen the skirt I am talking about in their Target?

I will have to admit I am just looking forward to getting a bag and goodies. I am also really excited to see what it's made out of since you guys are all so talented, I am sure the bag will be wonderful. Btw, I am sure lots of people would be happy with leafy green fabric it sounds pretty.

I have one of BigMouth's measuring tape wristlet bags from the Shop the Swap, its tres cool.  If you have a bag obsession Shop the Swap is GREAT!  I have so many bags/tote bags now, its like purse heaven in my closet    But what I really need is a nifty smaller shoulder bag for traveling with lots of zippered pockets for passports and stuff.  I sew but not much beyond basic straight stitch.  I'm hoping one of you good sewers will be interested in an alternative type of bag-made of books,cigarboxes,license plates....or some other random thing.  there's another idea I've had for awhile involving collage/paint/paper and fabric- functional but still kind of a piece of art. 

nine days till sign-ups end!  are you thinking of closing up earlier la_chrystelle??   I've got an insane week coming up and I won't be able to even think about swaps till after Easter (got a kid going to London on a school trip, his brother coming home from uni,  15+ people coming for Easter dinner AND company staying the weekend)  Its nice to know who your partner is though, I always spend my waitingfortheswapsi gnuptoendtime stalking everyone who has signed up.
