I love it! I wouldn't guess it was an experiment, I think the colors are really great and I like how Hurk is somewhat hidden.

Thank you very much, Kiwi! It means a lot to me that it doesn't look like an experiment Smiley

I love it!  KiwiDragons is right -- it doesn't look like an experiment at all.  I especially love the mischeivous, whimsical expression on Hurk's face.   Grin

Your color choices are really nice and add to the whimsy of the piece, and how did you get the texture in the lower left corner there?  It's awesome!

Woot! Thanks Smiley

The texture was actually my first handmade paper ever (made ages ago) soaked in some dirty brush water that I dumped some Modge Podge into.  It didn't take long for the paper to break down into pulp.  I took the pulp out with my fingers and just slapped it down.  Hm... I musta let the excess water drain off first.

Then, after staring at it for awhile and it dried a little I either added the purple paint around it or added the texture first.  The texture was from a scrap piece of plastic canvas I had laying around.  I randomnly grabbed it, slapped it down, pressed it into the kitty hurk firmly, carefully liften and impatiently let it set up long enough for me to get the idea of adding the kitty.  I might have done the impression twice.  Can't remember.

You can prolly tell I have no patience, rhyme or reason during the painting process :-p
