bigfatroses - that photo of the blanket with your family's feet made me laugh so hard, LOL! that was priceless!  Grin

I forget to send a letter, so some quick notes - I wasn't sure of the right size for your DD so I hope the patterns are close - I thought that little jacket looked sort of Gwen-ish but I am not a good judge, LOL! The bracelet is black onyx and snow jade, and I hoped the pattern would end up vaguely houndstooth looking. I am glad you liked the hats and bag - and they are machine wash and dry. The basket evolved from the one in the pic you have of your kitchen in a post you made  Roll Eyes

I was going to send some little magnets to go on the fridge for the day of the week and month of the year cards and that way you could put a magnet on the right day/month - but I think I forgot them. I am sorry...  Embarrassed

I hope you are as happy as I am.

Thank you again!

feel I've been sick forever - still tired and RUNNING LATE!!!

WARNING: MAGNETS, EVEN SMALL ONES, CAN INTERFERE WITH OR DAMAGE COMPUTERS AND ELECTRONICS LIKE CELL PHONES, AND ERASE DATA CODES ON CREDIT CARDS!

Give me a bag of tumbled stones and I will play for hours! Wink

The little cards- I'm going to have them laminated, so we can use dry erase markers on them!   Grin  I think it'll really impress her preschool teacher when she comes for the home visit!   Grin

I slept with the HK blankie last night!  Fell asleep on the couch when the meds kicked in, and whoo-ee!  I slept well!  Nice and warm, and totally comfie!  Molly woke up this morning, and she climbed in under the blankie with me, and it big enough for the both of us to completely snuggle up in!  I LOVE IT!

I'm actually going to make one of the little jackets in black, but with some houndstooth accents!  Maybe even a satin red lining!  That would be beyond adorable!

We were all very pleased with everything!   You put so much work into everything, and I'm super excited with my new goodies!

ooo - plan for the jacket sounds wonderful! send me a pic when it is done! I am glad the blanket is happy making!

I had intended to have those cards laminated too - but don't have a laminator and couldn't get to the place where I usually get it done so I am glad you thought to do that. Your DD's teacher should be impressed - the system is modeled after one I used in the schools here, only handcrafted instead of mass produced, LOL!

enjoy!

Okay.

NOW I'm right to post pics of what's come already. Apologies for the photos - my photo-fu has failed me.

Theme 1: Retro 70s/80s Thank you cupcakeaccessories!

Earrings!!! Yay for jewellery!! The squiggly ones are my favourite.

Teddy head keyring.

Crocheted wristwarmers. These things are so big and chunky - I love them! They're perfect, first thing on a cold cold morning. And I'm completely in love with the colours she's chosen. AND they've got little button badges on them!

Awesome. I'm so going to find something of mine, and start covering it with button badges.

Theme 2: Geek Thank you Taerowyn

2x t-shirts. Great colours, great design placement, perfect size. I've been wearing them since I got them.
The first has an xkcd theme

It's actually a lovely blue colour t-shirt, but like I said - bad photo-fu. That quote is pretty much how I introduce myself to anyone I like and desperately want to be friends with!! Cheesy

The second is pure H2G2

Don't Panic. I need to remember that more often.

Ooooh, I love t-shirts like this, but I'm often too worried to ask for them because the expanse of my boosies makes placement/design difficult. But Taerowyn's nailed it!

And finally, the theme that struck fear into the hearts of hundreds:

Theme 3: Communism Thank you Nobodyhasthisoneyet!

This is astounding work. A storage box with a 3-D hammer & sickle on the top

And, a rising sun quilt. I don't have the patience to do this sort of thing myself, so I am WELL PLEASED with this. She also included 2 textas, so I can draw my own revolutionary stuff onto the quilt, but I think I'm going to modify that idea to something that won't ruin the fabric, but will allow me to change the drawing.

Awesome sauce from all my angels so far, and they all certainly deserve a standing ovation!

Yeah....I'm glad you like! (I'm also pleasantly surprised at how quickly they got there seeing as you're pretty much halfway around the world from me)

Any skill in design placement is totally self-preservation as I have the same issues with t-shirts and anatomy  Cheesy

Glad you like it, KW, and glad it all got there intact!  (Note to self... check that swap items will fit standard packaging... sending a strangely shaped home-made carton held together with ten miles of packing tape is *not* cool!)

Of all the communism stuff, would you believe the bit that gave me the most trouble was the plain black box?  I'd have sent three days earlier if the original box that came with the lid hadn't done weird things when I painted it.  Smiley
