I have about a day to alter a set of dress blues and cuu's for a friend in the Navy. I have to re-create the pocket on the cuu and put new stripes on the sleeves of the dress blues.

I need everyone to think of me and channel your good sewing vibes at my direction. Totally nervous, first attempt. I will post when I am done to let you know if I have completed my tasks...if there is no following post, I have died of a heart attack at my machine  Grin jk *knock on wood*

I'm sending you good sewing vibes.  I won't touch my hubby's AF uniforms either.  He will sew on his own stripes and name tapes, but neither of us will alter them in any other way.  Good luck!

Thank you so much! I have been working away at this db jacket and I just finished sewing the stripes and the acorns on. I took out he lining so that I could sew them in but I guess most people don't do that.  Shocked I just figured that looked better.

I was so nervous to sew the acorns on upside down but I am good. Now on to the pile of CUU's!!! Woo hoo! I still need everyone's good vibes!

So I finished making/remaking the pocket on the CUU that has a new emblem on it. I took pictures to document my journey in case anyone is interested in a majorly boring tute  Wink

I seemed to be totally in tune with the sewing though. All of the vibes are really helping. Now I am just sewing on new collar devices and name tapes. So happy!  Grin
