Alas! Another hat I designed! The title was inspired by lisascenic's split Gwen Stefani & Liz Zimmerman personality Wink... also Gwen's latest Louis Vuitton blue, white n' black corset thing-a-ma-jig she wore.

Right now the black crochet bow tie is temporary until I can get my mits on some black ribbon... also debating whether or not to make a black pom-pom for the top of it. hmm... decisions, decisions!

That is utterly gorgeous! I like it without the pompom--very sophisticated. And the colors are perfect. Nice selection. Gwen Stephanie is a great fashion resource and i can see the inspiration there.

I think this is my favorite hat I've ever seen posted on Craftster--you RULE!

Sooooo cute!  Looks fab on you, too.  The colors are great, just everything.  I love it!

What kind of stitch did you use for the white part?

Thanx so much guys!!! I'm wow'd that it wow'd you! So now I'm all wow'd! Cheesy

Stripey cat -- I used an alternating slip stitch for the white part so it'd come out looking like lace

Murmur J from Spun mag asked me to submit a pattern, so I'm potentially thinking about submitting this one.

A ribbon would be pretty, but I kinda like the "floppy" quality of the crocheted bow.  Love the hat overall.

Flapper, that's so very gorgeous.  I really like how you have the seed stitch border extend up just beyond the white part.  That's a really nice detail. (It might not be seed stitch, but you know what I'm talking about, right?)  Also, I vote yes to ribbon and no pompom.  It's really sophistiated that way.

I think this hat would be great for Spun!
