Here are my goodies from Jerome (it was hard to tear myself away from the book to post...the book is Wicked - the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West and has been recommended to me by many)

close up of the buttons on the flower accent and bookmark (I love the buttons and leopard print ribbon!):

the fabric is a very fine wale corduroy with a cozy flannel lining - and matches the bookcover perfectly. It is great! Thanks Jerome!!!

i'm having so much fun watching you all get your goodies, since i couldn't join this swap (have too many others going on)........and i just had to post about sqrlgrrl's.......Wicked is an AMAZING book!!!  i loved it sooooo much! Kiss  After i read it, i went around spouting all these facts from the book, drove my family crazy (ie:  the wicked witch wasn't bad, just missunderstood for being green)  anyway, just had to say that!  carry on..... Wink

Awww!  What an awesome bag!  I love that fabric.  Kiss And the 'lil flower is so cute!  I've heard a lot about Wicked, too.  One of my friends read it a few years back and loved it.

Thanks guys!  I had a lot of fun making it!!  That is a great book, and the author has other books that are great as well.  "Tales of an Ugly Stepsister" was the first one I read and I bought "Mirror Mirror" (I think that's the title) but haven't started it yet.

Gregory Maguire Rocks!
Confessions of An Ugly Step Sister, I think.
I just bought Lost-- if it is anything like the others, I'm sure I'll love it:)

I got the greatest package in the mail today from Melissa.  The bag and bookmark are absolutely adorable....I love them both.  The book is called Refuge: An unnatural history of family and place and it looks really interesting.  Melissa also included a cute short story about Jane Austen (are you a fellow romantic lit. fan?) and a really sweet note.  Thanks so much, I love it all.

I showed my mom, who is a librarian, and she is thinking about making her co-workers bags and bookmarks for Christmas next year.
