I made these for a wedding next month -- I think they came out so beautifully.

I constructed a basic short sleeved bishop and hand smocked it in a pearl colored embroidery floss adding some pearl seed beads along the top edge for accent.

Also, you have to add some flowers to jazz it up a bit!  I am totally satisfied with these!  Wish they had been for my own girls actually...

The bride loved them too, that's what matters right?!?

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

You are the smocking queen! I remember wearing smocked dresses as a kid, I loved them and gave them names, LOL. I am in awe of *all* your smocked projects!

Now I have to stop saying "smocked" as it's starting to sound weird in my head.  Roll Eyes

you know? i've been on here for a little while now and i wondered if anyone smocked. my mom has been smocking for years and it truly is a lovely art form. i'm often surprised that there's enough smockers where she lives that they actually have a little society.

great job!

This is unbelievably gorgeous!  I have no idea how to smock, but now I want to learn!  How long have you been doing it?  Your work looks so professional!
