This morning I made his and hers sleep masks for my husband and me.  These are the fronts. I let him pick a fabric he liked form the stash of prints I have upstairs in the dining room.  I chose the pink on pink because these are my favorite colors:

Here are the backs which might be even cuter:

The pattern came from the Amy Butler's In Stitches book and was really easy. I used elastic instead of ribbon as suggested in the pattern because I think it'll be more secure and um.. I can't nap with a bit knot at the back of my head...

My husband doesn't know that the blue and brown pattern is from a line called "girlfriends" Roll Eyes.  He doesn't care though, he likes bright colors just like I do. Sleep masks are a necessity for us because I get migraines during the day and he goes to bed early while I need to watch tv or stitch before falling asleep.

We're both on night owl shift and we're suppose to be asleep at this very moment! Stupid people making us get into car crashes and me needing to go to the hospital! I think I may need to make some of these..

doxiemommy-  You were in a car accident?  I hope you are all right!

Thanks everyone!  I got the fabric from he discount bin when I went to actual brick-and-mortar location of the online fabric outlet Hancock's of Paducah.  They have nice sized cuts of beautiful designer fabrics.

I blogged about it here:

IamSusie, these are too cute!  Who says you can't be fashionable even if you're feeling sub-par?  Love them!
