I recently finished up a couple items using Shabby Chic styled fabrics and had quite a few super small scraps left. I layed them all out, with some extra thread, lace and ribbon, sewed it all down with watersoluable fabric, and then used the "scrap fabric" to make some gift card cases (posted over in the wallet section) and a bunch of these note cards. It was loads of fun, and used up most of those little pieces I just hate to throw away!

Those are pretty fabrics.  It's cool you found a use for the little scraps.   The lace adds a nice touch.

I actually just did a bunch of cards in the same way, I need to post them.  It's so addictive and fun!

Great idea...did you stiffen up the fabric?

No ... the watersoluable fabric gives enough stiffness to make the sewing easy, and once it is rinsed away the scrap fabric is a little stiffer than when you started, probably from the watersoluable fabric running through it as it is being washed away.
