I made these using a pattern from knitsonya.com, and adapting it a bit.  I only wish I had made them at the beginning of winter!  One of my friends told me that yarn socks + baby powder + wood floors = lots of fun, but I haven't tried it yet! Roll Eyes

I really like the color.  Are they comfy?

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

They are really nice!  We have just begun autumn here in Australia  and I really hope I can get around to making some socks for winter.  I did one pair of knitted ones over the last 2 winters - it took forever.  I'm hoping that crochet socks will work up quicker and besides I love to crochet.

those are very cool socks. I've knitted two pairs of socks, but i haven't crocheted any because I've been concerned that the thickness might be annoying in shows. Does it bother you at all? and what thickness of yarn did you use?

Thanks for all the compliments! Cheesy
They are pretty comfy and they were pretty quick to make (two evenings).  But they are a bit bulky, so they aren't for wearing under shoes.  Well I suppose I could but I'd have to loosen up my laces a bit.  I used a worsted weight, medium thickness...not sure if it would be a 3 or 4, since I got the yarn from a friend who removed the label!

CROCHET SOCKS?!?  so cool!

i'd been searching for a simple but nice knit sock pattern and felt very intimidated.  i never even considered crocheting socks as an option!  *off to search for a pattern*
