way to represent 'tah!

i've also always loved the architecture of the saltair, and i remember being way disappointed as a kid that it wasn't a full-blown palace with elegant rooms and secret passageways on the inside.  instead, it's just kindof drab.  on the inside.  and smells like, well, the lake.  and we all know what that's like.

but i still like it.  Smiley  i think the bracelet perfectly represents the antique quality of the place.  imagine what it would've been like back in it's hey-day?

this is awesome. My family has roadtripped to Utah many many times and that was always my favorite thing to look at.

And Sutro Baths in SF is really cool, also. Definitely worth checking out if you're ever in the area.

Very cool.
When I went cross country, Saltair was one of the places I had to stop at both for the nostalgic history and for the macabre since Carnival of Souls was filmed there.
This totally rocks. So I clickied it.

There is a creepy building here in Alaska called the Buckner Building. It used to house a whole town of people before it was completely abandoned. I would love to do a photo project like you did. I love abandoned buildings and old photos. Good job

Another Utah crafter!  I love the bracelet.  Did you know the Pixies wrote a song about Saltair?  It's called "Palace of the Brine"
