I bought a some white fleece backed cotton and dyed it purple with RIT Aubergine dye. I used the Anita pattern from BurdaStyle http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/show/1760 to cut out and sew together the pieces. I made a few alterations by adding 4" of length because I'm tall and like pants to bunch up at the bottom and I changed the shape and design on the back pockets. They say "ninja" and have a city skyline since I live right near NYC. I sewed them with orange thread in a stretch stitch (the type that goes over the same stitch 3 times) but they're ripping at the seams a little bit and where the pockets connect. I think that's just the problem of making really tight pants out of fleece backed cotton and not lining them. In the future, I'd make them a bit wider. I think it's the tightness that's making them rip. (They're small rips, you can barely see them.)

OH MY GOSH! I LOVE your pants. I've been wanting to make purple skinny jeans for a long time, but I haven't been able to figure out what kind of fabric I want to use. These pants are amazing for sure.
