I wanted to use a sheet as the fabric, doubling it to prevent see-throughness, do you think I can do that?

yesterday evening I tried to make one myself Smiley
I have yet to sew the skirt to the middle and than add a zipper and colour.
(it took rather long I had been cutting,sewing and gathering from 8 pm 'till 1 am)
