Yeah, I know there have probably already been a million decoupaged postage stamp tables, so here's another one for the heap.  I am pretty pleased with how it came out and I finally made a decent dent in my giant envelope of stamps I bought some years ago and forgot about.  The original table was part of an Ikea  nesting set.  The biggest table is currently being used to hold up my bird's cage, I usually sit on the middle one, so I figured the little one could use a shot in the arm.

Some stamps:

I have never actually seen a postage stamp table, so thagks for showing it. This is a great idea for bringing color into a room.

So pretty!

Did you put anything on the top to seal it?

Did you put anything on the top to seal it?

Yeah, I put matte Mod Podge over the whole thing to get all of the edges glued down, then sealed it with 2 coats of Krylon Triple Thick.  It's pretty shiny, which I don't know if I like or dislike.  Really seal everything well with the Mod Podge, though - if the Krylon gets directly on the stamps, it will discolor them - happened to me a bit around the edges.

I love this!  Where did you get all those stamps?
I got them on eBay a few years ago.  It was a massive bag, so I picked out the best ones.  Somehow I ended up with a disproportionate amount of unattractive Christmas stamps from Australia.  I think some craft stores sell them in bags as well, but I don't know what their selection is like.  It's best if you can find them already steamed off their envelopes.

What a unique way to display a stamp collection! It really emphasizes the artistic value of stamps.
