A friend and I are throwing a chinese-themed bridal shower.  We're ordering egg rolls and making crab rangoon and having chinese lanterns and favors and whatnot.  So I thought it would be cute to have these fortune cookies!
Can anyone help me think of clever things to put on the fortunes?
If it were just our friends, I could think of tons of amusing things, but it's also going to be the groom's family, and some of them are religious so I don't want to offend.

I thought about just putting little known facts about each of them, i.e., "Jennifer was co-editor of the yearbook in high school," " Mike's favorite football team is the Green Bay Packers," etc.  But a) that seems sort of generic and b) I think we might be playing a game that would involve questions such as "What is Mike's favorite football team?"

Why not some cheesy predictions, like "You are going to witness two happy people in love today" or "Bring tissues with you today" or "Be sure to wear your fancy underwear."

Do you have a good recipe picked out for the fortune cookies? I've been experimenting with different ones for weeks and haven't found a good one yet. I've gone through 6 different recipes that I've found, so I could tell you what DOESN'T work... but if you have one that works well, could you post it?
