We moved to Florence, AL from Springfield, IL last November.  I am having a hard time locating Fabric.  While I like Hancock's, I need other options.  I really don't want to shop online, I like to feel my fabric. Smiley

Any suggestions that are too far away?

Thanks so much!

Can I just say first, I am addicted to fabric as well?

I'm not 100% sure how far Florence is away from Huntsville but there are stores in this area that I hit up.

Hancocks (but I'm way to cheap for them) University/South parkway

Hobby Lobby (becareful, some of the fabric is really cheaply made.. print off the  grain of fabric)

Wal-mart (and all it's gloriousness)

NOW FOR THE BIGGEST DISCOUNT STORE
Sir's in Fayetteville TN...... Worth the gas money. They have 50cent table and up... they have $1 yards and the average price is $3.99/yard. They do carry expensive/fancier fabrics but I've never needed that quality or type of fabric.  Take your checkbook and cash because as one lady said on this board, it's a step back in time. They have 2 main stores too. Each across the street from each other.  It's a wonderful place to see fabric and get inspired for a project as well as the search for fabric for a specific project.

I go and load up on fabric and work off for months. I have purchased seasonal fabric off the 50cent table that is perfectly good fabric and pulled it out when it was time. :-)

I was in a tote bag making mood and it was heaven. :-)

I made black out curtains for my upstairs bedroom.... the fabrics are endless.....

When you go to Fayetteville, ask the locals for the best diner... We ended up at a greasy spoon that was SOOOO good. :-) I can't remember what it was called but worth the calories. :-)  Have fun!!!

Oh, I am such a fabric hoarder. Grin  I buy 4-5 yds. at a time and I always need more.  I think that it is an wonderful addiction. Wink

I love the $1/yd. table at Wal-Mart.  I have found wonderful flannels there.  I usually only buy fabric on sale, clearance, or really cheap.  I don't remember the last time I paid full price for a yard of fabric.

I will have to go to Sir's I think.  You are the second person to tell me about it.  It sounds so great.
