She's eight.  And yes, I know...very detailed oriented.  And resourceful.  It runs in the family!    Grin
the gerbs are just the arms cut straight from an old bear from a thrift store.  Straight pins for eyes.  She found some quilting thread in my stash for whiskers.  toothpicks for teeth. 
I manned the glue gun, but thats about it!

Wow. She did a wonderful job. Very smart to have thought of using an old bear to make the gerbils. The whole scene looks great!

That's great!  I love the gerbils!  I made lotsa diorama's in my day.  If I could think of a reason I had to make one now, I would be all about it.

They are so cute ive been 'awwwwwwing' and 'aaaaaaaahhhhhing' at the computer screen for a while. Please let your little one know we think shes got some mad skillz! Kudos for recycling too!

So...Are the gerbils wild, or the diorama?
She did an awesome job! High five!!! Very creative. And you're such a good mama to have done the glue gun part. I've got so many scars on my hands from that thing!
She gets a this rocks from me.

she loves gerbils, and chose them for her animal project.  I told her that her teacher did not need a report on PET gerbils, so she researched WILD gerbils! she's a hoot!
