I designed and made this in about 7 hours yesterday. Quite happy with it but remind me to not use wadding again!
The bag was going to be really flimsy and I only had thin interfacing so I used wadding on two panels to stiffen it up a bit. It worked but was a pain in the arse to use!
For the tree/earth design - I embroidered the trunk & roots, used fabric paint for the leaves and earth. The leafy bit is textured and there are different colours but you can't see them in the pic. I'm debating whether or not to put some text on either side of the trunk, if I do the text will be EARTH FIRST. What do you think?

Looks very nice!!  I hate that I can't see all the detail on the tree.  I think "Earth First" would look very good-- is it going to be in blocks, script, etc. and how big?

I love that applique....And I think stiff interfacing would have been easier to use...
