Even with instructions they are hard to put together! I just played with the shapes until they turned into something I liked. Tiny ones sound really cool!

I gave my lights away when I moved a couple years ago but now I'm starting to think about making some more!

I was really inspired by the star-shaped IQ light design above and had a go. It's not the same size but I've taken pictures to show how I made it that are posted in my gallery (you'll need to sort them by post date). This was made with laminated paper but I think baking paper may be better for letting light through.

Have fun!

Love this idea! I have been saving my large coffee can lids for some time and wasn't sure what to do with them. I think I will use the lids (which are opaque plastic) for this craft idea! I have collected them for years, so I am certain to be able to create a very big lamp shade with them. Thanks for the idea and the template!

Thanks for the tutorial-I've linked to you in my blog! Such a cool project - planning on trying it out with plastic milk bottles next time!

Holy awesome, batman! I hadn't seen the original lights that you linked to, so this is just blowing my mind right now! Your lamps all look amazing, I may have to give this a try!
