so, i gave this doll to my boyfriend for christmas. he is obsessively clad in a red & blue stripe wool hat, red hoodie, and new balance shoes. i wanted to get him a wii for christmas really badly but couldn't, obviously, get my hands on one so....i thought for hours about what i could get for him and voila...out popped my boyfriend doll. the face is sculpey III poly clay (and not from a mold). i painted it with acrylics after baking and put holes around the edges with a needle so that i could sew the face onto the head of the doll body (a technique that i have never tried and might not ever attempt again however fun stabbing yourself in the finger may be to some). the body is muslin and also painted, though you can't see it (pervert), with acrylics. i made the 'hoodie', sneakers, hat, and pants out of some salvaged shirts that i have sadly outgrown. onto the pictures:

and the doll and the real thing

hahaha, he likes it!

ha ha Avril!  The doll you made me (Damien) creeps everyone out, too, but I love it!

This one is creepy/good!  But, the BF is definitely way better looking, so hang on to him!

I like how you are doing the faces yourself with no molds! Must be fun!
