I'm having a hard time reconstructing a journal into a scrapbook journal. I'm basically altering some pages, and others I'm gluing or is it glueing pages or scrap pages together. I'm using glue sticks and tacky glue, and the paper just turns out so crisp and funky.....or is it yucky? I'd like to create something useable and fun......anyone out there..please help!

I love me some plain old rubber cement. Spread a thin, even layer on each piece, let dry, then *voila* ... contact cemented together and won't move or wrinkle.

Rubber cement is wonderful stuff but the fumes really bother me. I love the  'dry-apply' glue dots & rollers that are basicly rubber cement in an applicator-no fumes! They do cost a bit more, though.

Not all glue sticks are created equal! most of them suck, just don't bond well or wrinkle up the page.

That's the short version, there is a massive multi page thread somewhere here all about glue!! Search it, it'll turn up Smiley

Oh yeah, I've used the vellum tape stuff, too, but I've never bought it myself. =)
