Howdy! My name is Hilary I am a freshman general studies major from Austin, Texas; but more importantly I am the loudest and proudest member of the fightin' Texas Aggie class of 2011! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Cheesy Well now that that is out of the way, my hometown is Austin but I am currently living in College Station attending Texas A&M University. I absolutely love living here and going to school here. Luckily we have had really nice weather in February so I was able to get some awesome pictures around campus, and those combined with my pictures from the fall equal one pretty sweet collage. A&M was founded as a military academy and was originally all male. In 1976 it became coed and students could enroll and not be in the Corps. My brother is a sophomore here and is currently in the Corps of Cadets (he's the one with the lovely face paint yelling).

The top left picture is the academic building, its one of the older buildings on campus.
The top right picture is from the A&m v. Kansas football game.
The top middle is the Aggie ring.
Next to it are pictures of Sul Ross(its said if you put a penny on Sul Ross you will have good luck, you should see the statue during finals) and a jeep from WWII(it was military appreciation night at the football game).
Next to the Gig'em Aggies is a picture of the Aggie Band
The bottom pictures are of my brother and his buddies from the Corps

So there you have it, a little slice of Aggieland. Thanks and Gig'em!

Your entry is really cool. I looked at A&M on the last Aggieland Saturday, I'm from Fort Worth. You did a really good job and your photography is awesome.

Nice job!  My roomie grew up in Dallas and is a Baylor alum, but has several nieces and nephews who attended A & M.  Although we're in CA now, snippets of TX (flag, wallhangings, backyard paraphenalia, and even a bottle opener that plays the aggie fight song) are evident everywhere in our house.  You Texans certainly don't suffer from a lack of pride in your state.  Pretty cool.  Smiley

This is so cute. I went to Texas on an exchange aged 15 and I really got a sense of the state pride. The collage really reflects that, and the pictures are brilliant!

Ah our family are 100% Aggies fans! My dad's new wife and her family though at Longhorn fans, so when the big game is on, it's usually two sides of the living room and a bunch of name calling, lol

I just saw a glance of the picture and knew where it was lol so cool

I was going to chime in with an obligatory 'whoop' but I see I've been beaten to the chase.   Cheesy
