Hey craftsters!!  I bought my first ReadyMade not to long ago and saw this project in the back of the book.  It was super cheap and fun to customize with color.  However, I don't think I'll be making anymore double felt projects in the near future.  Cutting through two pieces of glued together felt was pretty darn hard on the hands.  Anyway, here are some pics and I hope you guys like!!!

P.S.  The pics were taken in a homemade light box which was also super easy and cheap to make!!  (Didn't edit the pics much for light and color correction tho, not much of a photographer, lol)

I bought the mag in hopes of making the felt gun to, yet I have not tried it yet! Cutting felt can be such a pain.

would it make it easier if you cut out the pieces and then glued them together, or would it turn out differently?

i love this gun. then i read the post. i'm impressed with both the felt and the homemade light box - if you don't mind me asking, how'd you make your light box? and how big is it? just big enough for the gun?

Thanx everyone!!  I never thought of doing it in the craft foam, lol.  Probably would have made smoother cuts too.  I just followed the instructions without even thinking about alternatives.  The glue I used was specifically for felt so I didn't really think it would dry hard, but it did, i guess in the heavier applied places.  I think I'll try the foam idea too!

littler4bbit:  I got the instructions for the light box:  http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/how-to-make-a-inexpensive-light-tent/

you can use any size box you want, the one I used was my practice one to see how well it would work.  It's about 11-12 inches wide on the inside by a slightly shorter height.  I just used my sewing task lamp which has a halogen light bulb in it.
