That's gorgeous! I've always loved New Orleans. I like the "Venus of the Mississippi" image!

Great tribute!...love the fleur.

I'm a transplant here in St. Louis, MO...but I was born and raised in southern LA...Houma, specifically. Moving was the best thing I ever did, but had I lived in New Orleans itself (and still had a house), I'd probably still be there...I can't help but love the city. You sort of have to, if you're a native...there's just so much unique culture...your painting is appropriate and beautiful!

Isn't it funny how NOLA is such a cool place but is surrounded by miles and miles of.... not quite as cool places. That's a nice way to put it, right? I kinda like Lafayette to visit, and I totally dig Abita Springs, but not so crazy about everywhere else...

So I would also haul ass outta this place if I couldn't live in Orleans Parish. The east bank of Orleans Parish.

I'm from Metairie, but I live in N. Texas now.  That blasted storm really screwed up things for my family, but we all love NOLA and your painting is beautiful.  Well done!

And...I went to Chapelle - any other Chipmunks out there???
