There are so many amazing ideas for new craft challenges for the future but I thought, heck, it's been two years since we did a Dollar Store Challenge and it was so much fun that we should do it again! So here we go again with Round 2 of the Dollar Store Challenge!

I love dollar stores! You never know what craziness you're going to find! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make something fabulous and hopefully totally unexpected out of items you buy at a dollar store that cost a total $10 or less. (Last time it was $5 but we'll account for a lil inflation!)

You can also use traditional craft supplies glue, thread, etc but the main focal point of the project should be what you buy at the dollar store.

If you're not located in the U.S., you can spend the equivalent of $10 USD in your own currency.

Rules:

Post your craft during the period of Apr 1 - Apr 5 2008. No sooner. No later. On Apr 1 there will be a special folder created for entries.
Voting will happen from Apr 6 - Apr 12 2008.
Each participant can enter ONE project. (Although your entry can have multiple components to it.)

Originality:

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original and has never been posted on Craftster or made by anyone else in the past. But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, then just give credit to that project.

Prizes:

At the end, I'll set up a poll right here and the first place winner will get...

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog
