Okay, now I'm really homesick you guys! I'll be down there in two weeks, so let's all pick a Steak 'n' Shake to take over.  Let's go for the one on the north side of town that you can see from I-75 near that big huge church that has no steeple.  Everyone bring your craftiness and we'll freak out the whinos. Awesome.

Yes, that Chik-fil-A is called The Dwarf House, but I have never been there.  I'm an East Cobb Snob, who wasn't allowed to go to the State Fair because the "carnies hold their rides together with rubber bands and Band-Aids".  Yes, my mom is hyper. hehe

Hehe! Luv it!  We're in Paulding Co. and grew up in Cherokee Co. and tell the kids, "there's the Big Chicken" much like Big Ben gets pointed out by Chevy Chase in the Lampoon's European Vacation movie.

i was raised in Marietta, i went to wheeler high school, and then moved up to woodstock after i graduated, i used to go to the big chicken all the time,and the dwarf house, we actually drove by the big chicken yesterday, i know live in downtown Decatur, but mom still lives by the big chicken, we actually have a piece of the old big chicken after it got demolished, my grandfather was determined to get a piece of history to keep of his own. he's passed now, but we still have that piece of the big chicken in our basement!! oh, and all the peachtree things, its really ridiculous. i never came to Atlanta until after i moved down here, now i know exactly how to get around the city, but that took about a 1 1/2 years to figure it all out! the ponce de leons are pretty exhausted too, especially in midtown and Decatur. great shirt, i wouldn't mind having one. my mom would love it too!

Gotta chime in with the Big Chicken love here. I saw the thumbnail on the front page and said, "Hey! It's the Big Chicken!" I can't believe how many Atlanta-area residents are on craftster!

I haven't lived there for over 8 years now, but I used to live near the Big Chicken as well as many other parts of the Atlanta area -- darn you folks for mentioning the Varsity. Now I want a chocolate milkshake! (I know the orange is what they're famous for, but if you haven't tried the chocolate... doooo it. You won't regret it!) Unfortunately, there's 2000+ miles between me and that milkshake now.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane (or should I say "Peachtree" lane? ) and great t-shirt. Very clever -- it clearly represents your hometown, as evidenced by the flurry of responses here!
