How to get from Marietta to Atlanta **UPDATED**

love it!  i went to school in decatur but would visit friends in marietta, the first time i was going and someone told me to turn at the big chicken i was baffled.  needless to say i understood pretty quickly.

Awesome shirt!  Every time time I went to Atlanta I always got lost because of peachtree something.  I also went the the wrong way on 285 once which was an  hour an a half mistake but....Love the Waffle House and the Varsity!  Where is that Chick-fil-A in Atlanta that is also a sit down restaurant?  They have waiters and you can choose what side you want to sit on.  Is it called the dwarf house?  Am I remembering that wrong?  I ate there ten years ago, which makes me feel old.

Oh my goodness. I love this. Grieney, you totally just made my day! I lived in the Kennesaw/Marietta area all my life until last April when I moved to Italy with my husband. And I've been sooo homesick lately. I miss having every set of directions have the words 'Waffle House,' 'Peachtree,' and 'The Big Chicken' instead of 'the second roundabout,' 'near A28,' and 'drive towards Venice, you'll hit it eventually.' I would totally love to have that framed!

Ah! The big chicken!

When I was visiting my boyfriend at Tech before I was a student here, he specifically took me on a trip to see the big chicken. I thought it was alot farther away than it actually is until I started driving up there for the Wal-mart that still has a real craft section with fabric and yarn... damn Wal-mart on Howell Mill.

Anyway, seeing the big chicken on craftster really made me smile!

HAHAHAH! No way. I'm always telling people about the ridiculousity that is getting directions in marietta and atlanta. Omg this just makes my day. I now need to show this to everyone in my family.

Also, roswell rd/st/blvd/ave/ct is another one. I swear...people are so silly.

I lived in Marietta briefly as a small kid. I now reside in Rome and work just outside of Cobb County What a small world!

By the way...I'm eating lunch at the original Varsity tomorrow! Jealous?? Mmmm...slaw dogs...and onion rangs (yes, I said "rangs")...

haha! i saw this as soon as I came to this page and I was like, hey that's the big chicken!!! I live in rome, so I dont see it often, but i like some of you was dragged there by my parents as a small child....you have to see the big chicken! and yes, let just agree with everyone about peachtree.....argh! thank god my honey knows the area and i never have to drive there...
