Thanks guys!  You crochet with wire the same way as with thread or yarn.  It's a little hard to get used to at first and you have to make sure you have wire that will hold it's shape well.  So, all I did was string some beads onto the wire (in this case I used florists wire)  ch a few, then I would draw up a bead, ch over it, ch 1 draw up another bead, and so on, till it was the length I wanted.  Then I turned and sc'd into each of the chains, made my own ghetto little closure, and voila! a necklace was born!
