I whipped this up this morning in an about an hour. I was very pleased with the results. It's got a Velcro closure.

and the colors go together so well! and i like the contrast in the textures...

are there going to be straps? or is it just a clutch?

I went with a Velcro closure and left it as a clutch. The woman I made it for has rather conservative sensibilities and I don't think she'd use it if it had a handle. I think it would look more like a kid's purse with one since the bottom's only about 5 inches across.

It's a lucky find from Wal-Mart, believe it or not. I also picked up some super cute geisha fabric in the same color scheme that's been set aside for a special skirt.
