NOTE: this is my first challenge entry and i am uber nervous please be kind and let me know what you think!!

ok so my home town is Roanoke VA and one of if not THE most memorable thing about the city is the Roanoke star   i remember going up to the top of the mountain and looking down on the whole city and up at the huge mill mountain star and as i dabble a bit in photography i thought i would share the photos i have taken.

the mill  mountain star

me in from to show how huge it is

the view of the city

i consider myself very lucky to call Roanoke home and i'm very proud to post this but if i havn't explained it well enough here is a link to tell you more about our star

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mill_Mountain_Star

ok i just thought about it and one more thing that i didnt personally do but it reminds me of my home er well state and it is art so here is a little addition
virginias state tree is the flowering dogwood so i got a little something to remind me of home forever hehe

AAH! Smiley My hometown is in WV, but very close to the VA line, we do all our shopping in Roanoke, and the boy's family is from Roanoke, so we have spent many nights driving back under the star Smiley its nice to see a memory of home!

Woo! I can see the Star from my kitchen window - I have a ridiculous fondness for it! Lovely photos, too - it's tough to take night shots of the neon Smiley
