I got really inspired by some of the bleached stuff I have seen here on Crafter especially emlee_bee http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=201691.msg2146348#msg2146348
Unfortunately I can't find any kind of bleach pen here in Sweden, so I have dipped an old felt-tip pen in chlorine, since my various tries with spraying bleach on the fabric have been disastrous.
I hope I can inspire you in any way.

I stole this stencil from this page: http://triciawang.vox.com/library/posts/tags/san+francisco/

It is first bleached and then stenciled with fabric paint. Do you think I should ad the flower or not?

gorgeous work! love the tonings you have captured.
You can buy a water brush pen that can be filled with bleach from scrapbook shops here in australia so maybe try a scrapbooking supplies shop. i think using good paint brushes would work too.
inspiring work!

No, I don't have the skills to draw freehand so all are stolen. I found the raccoon on http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=702 and for the socks I used this site http://vcmstatic.sabc.co.za/VCMStaticProdStage/EDUCATION/StaticHTML/Schools/Beyond%20The%20Classroom/Ideas%20Library/Theme%20Pictures/Human%20Body%20-%20Skeleton/Skeletal.htm

So when you do an object like this, you take the bleach pen and draw out what you want, and then you wash the garment?

I love the raccoon, it's really cool!  And it would totally be cool to do some undies like that!

yes, only I couldn't find a bleach pen so I used an old felt pen and cuetips. Then I let the garment dry over night. I was a little scared that the bleach would bleach the whole garment while washing in the machine, but it didn't happened. Although some other socks that I was washing at the same time got some bleach on them, but I don't know if it was from washing, or from messing around with the bleach earlier  Wink

After seeing the pic of your socks today, I just had to use the idea for a tee.  My son just got accepted into Podiatric Medical School and I knew he needed it!  It was my first attempt at using a mylar sheet and not freezer paper--a little more
challenging.

that is extremely cool.  I like the idea of a make-your-own bleach pen, and it seems to have turned out really well.  Nice skeleton socks, too.  Smiley

That is a wonderful stencil of Frida ... one other I've seen looks too cartoony and really emphasizes her unibrow.  Sad

Your stencil shows how beautiful and unique she truly was. Great job!

When I use straight bleach (or diluted with water) I get terrible bleeding around the edges. I can't seem to get crisp edges. I do much better with the gel pen. Did you mix anything with the bleach besides perhaps water?

All of this is awesome! I must say that I'm a big fan of the socks too...but the raccoon is very neat too. It reminds me of Ranger Rick, a children's magazine here in the US.
