So, I've been lurking for awhile and decided it's time to post some stuff I've finished recently! I wanted to make a bag for the Amy Butler contest that was going on over at Craftzine, so I made a prototype first and I was pretty in love with the cuteness! I really wanted a bag with some pockets in the front because I waste too much time digging around for my phone and keys! It's made out of red duck cloth and a super cute heart print I found on ebay! Add some piping, bias tape and a handful of heart buttons and voila!:

Close-up of pockets:

And then I re-made it in Amy Butler's lotus fabric because I adore the orange/grey combination!:

Lining:

And in action!:

I'm pretty happy with how they came out and cant wait to make it in some other colors and fabrics! Let me know what you think!

Those bags are gorgeous!  My favorite is the red one because it reminds me of my favorite pair of pants, bright red, and very cute.   Smiley  And I love the heart print and buttons.

Looking for postcards from anywhere to use for RSVP cards for my 8/2012 wedding.  Have 80/200.

Oh my goodness! Wonderful =)

Is this being sold/still in the contest so that asking for a tute would be off limits?

They are great - I love the pockets. The contrast really makes them pop out!

WOW, they both look great hun, but the red one gets my vote if I had to pick one of them....but then I must be weird/strange as I'm not a real big fan of the other brand of material....don't want to be mentioning the name for fear of being sued or booted off the forum!

wow great design and much better than having to dig around in the bottom to find what you are looking for.

I love them both but the second is my fave
