Ok supplies:

- 1 sheet of felt (or nearly)
- 1 sheet of 2mm thick craft foam in black (Or almost 1 sheet)
- needle
- Thread that closely matches your felt
- Pins you don't need a lot of pins but you will need some.
- Pattern: Should be sized to 766pixels wide by 555pixels tall

The pattern pieces are from top left clockwise:
- Sides of bootx4
- Tounge and body of bootx2
- Sole of shoex2
This will make 2 boots.
First measure your poppets feet.
It is important to measure both feet as due to the way fabric stretches one foot can be smaller or larger than the other.
Measure the length of the foot and Adjust from the inner line of sole pattern lengthwise.
Measure the area from one side of the toes to the other. You only need to measure across the bottom of the foot not all the way around. Adjust from the inner line of sole pattern accordingly.
Now trace the pattern onto some paper and you'll have the pattern for the bottom of your poppets feet. Make sure you have 1/4 of an inch seam allowance around the sole.
Lay the sole pattern onto your foam and trace around it. You will need 1 for each foot. Cut out from foam and set aside.
For shoe peices lay on felt and cut out according to list above. (I'm only making one boot for this tut you will want to make 2.)

Take one of the main shoe pieces and lay the short ends together. overlap one over the other and pin in place.

Now line this up with the mid back of the foam sole and pin in place.
Carefully pin on both sides of this pin about 1/2 an inch apart.

Now pin both sides of the pins you just put in.

Repeat:

Repeat on toe area.

Place on pin in top center of toe.

Load your needle with thread and hand sew the felt to the foam sole. (I'll be using blue thread so you can see it)

Then sew up the back of the shoe where you overlapped it.

Now tie your thread off and take your pins out. You will now carefully turn the whole shoe inside out.
It will look like this:

Now lay one of your smaller felt pieces on top of one side like so:

Pin in place and repeat on other side overlapping the back of the pieces slightly.
So your boot should look like this:

Starting on inside of boot sew down starting from one side of the shoe to the other. Tie off thread inside of boot.
Now starting from inside of boot sew the back overlap and sew to boot. Tie off inside of boot.
Now add holes for laces and lace the boot up in your preferred manner. Push your poppets foot into the shoe and tie shoe laces. And you should have something like this:

I can't wait to see all the awesome poppet Boots!
