I received from NoFury yesterday and i got the cutest clutch purse ever! And it's got cute pink lining which means i can actually use it! I've crocheted purses and bags without lining it before, and as much as i love them i cant use them without my keys poking through! So thanks so much for lining it and it came with a cute tissue holder! I can always use a cute tissue holder!

Fish helped in the bathroom. I figured it made sense! The purple ones were GREAT for the mirrors where I've never used anything but paper towels!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Thanks ThreadorYarn!

Actually, they did work better than a sponge. I was pleasantly surprised. Now, if they would just clean by THEMSELVES....well, I would make hundreds!

You're welcome! The fish (and the other knit & crocheted things) are tawashi (Japanese-style scrubbies) and they're made of worsted weight acrylic yarn. The fish pattern is here

My goodness! The postie was truly laden with all sorts of lovely parcels this morning! My birthday has come 2 days early!
Firstly mommythemaid's cute knitted cloths and some hair clips for DD (she is at nursery today so I can't get an action shot, but they will look lovely)


Then 2 claims from farmgirljane..I can't believe how quickly it arrived from Australia too!
A load of patchwork squares to start off my bedroom quilt..all perfect colours:

Some cute Hello Kitty things for DD - I know she will adore all of it - especially the little hair kit! She loves brushing everyone's hair! Plus some amazing stitch markers that are almost too nice to use!

And finally a MAHOOSIVE amount of ATC stuff - quite incredible. DS3 has already got his beady eyes on it, so I may have to let him play with some of it (he already has his own craft cupboard and is 6 - he just made his first ATC!)  I will have so much fun with it all!

If that wasn't enough I also got an extra parcel from Raynbow as we did a personal swap too - so she sent me some homespun yarn and some very pretty knitpicks DPNs:

If that wasn't enough, I had just photographed all that and then the door rang again and I had the kitchen swap parcel arrive as well! Good thing my DH is out of the country at the moment and can't moan abut everything arriving LOL!!
SO thankyou ladies for cheering up my week - and helping soften the blow of getting into yet another year in my Forties (eek!)

I received two packages I still need to show off.

First, from sajona, I received a lovely package.  The first to come out was this fleece blanket.  My 2-year old son pulled it right out and starting exclaiming, "it's so soft!"  When I explained to him that it was for his baby sister he said, "the baby is sharing".



Next, was these two fabric bags:



Inside the bags were a lovely, big, changing pad for the new baby and a bunch of scraps for a scrap quilt I'm working on!.



Next, from kitchqueen, I received another lovely baby girl package:



You can see a little hoodie blanket, a bib, booties, and tiny hat.  She also included a crib sheet that she had never been able to use.

Aww! I love all the baby goodies! Our newest nephew was born this weekend, and I'm in full on baby fever, so every little baby item is making me happy! I think it's time I start collecting some of my own for the as-of-yet not even conceived child of mine. Is that weird?

No! Our "baby" is now two and I still ooh and awe over baby things. They are just so flipping cute. Horde baby stuff!
